Shorter Top to Bottom: The complaint on most parallel claws is that, due to the 90 degree outlet on the bottom of the claw, there is not enough clearance under the cow, which causes the milking cluster to drag on the floor. The Bou-Matic parallel claw is only 5 1/4" from top to bottom for plenty of clearance.

62658 Universal™ claw, though similar in shape to the DeLaval™ claw, reverses the DeLaval™ design by putting a stainless steel bowl on the bottom and a clear plastic piece on top. This makes sense, as it is the bowl that takes the direct impact when the claw falls off. Also, the clear inlet nipples make it easier to determine a milking problem in individual teats. The Universal™ claw disassembles easily for cleaning and maintenance. It is very light weight and has excellent capacity. The 5/8" outlet nipple is angled down for quick milk out.
